Wordpress Posts vs. Pages vs. PROJECTS

Hi All, I feel like such a kwam for not bein able to find info on this, so I thought I'd come here to ask…. I have found several articles online that explains the difference between posts and pages on Wordpress.. BUT.. I can not seem to find any info on "posts vs. projects". I just want to know what the projects are and perhaps some examples on how they are used.. Do they count for SEO? etc.

@lien-bertram can you add a screenshot for where you see Projects? Projects are similar to Portfolios in most WP themes and all the same SEO rules apply.

These are what I am referring to… I don't make use of any WP themes, as we use Divi, so not sure what the portfolios would be for either..

On your Menu, go to Appearance. You will find your theme there.

Divi is your page builder.

Projects & portfolios are ways that businesses can display their work. IE I might display websites I build. For you, if you were using WooCommerce, you would have Products. Each of these "sections" or "features" follow the exact same SEO rules.

I don't see an obvious fit for you, with Projects.

I am currently using Divi Elegant Themes as my main theme. The main reason why I was looking into this, is because I currently have my products set up on my store, but these are just the retail products, and I am hoping to have the rest of our "bulk" product profiles set up individually, I was thinking of doing individual pages for each product, but there are tons of them, and these are all products that we are making on a per-order basis, and not really something that we could easily have available. So, I thought of doing posts, but that would just show up under the blog part and would not necessarily show up at the top. So I thought I'd look into projects. Thank you for the assistance!
